Shannon Skinner’s Extraordinary Women TV announces its support of Ignite ‘n’ Connect as media partner
first-ever event for Toronto’s women soulpreneurs, hosted by Positive Fabulous Women
Toronto, April 9, 2012 — Shannon Skinner’s Extraordinary Women TV is pleased to be the media partner of Ignite ‘n’ Connect — the first annual conference for Toronto’s women soulpreneurs — taking place on May 4, 2012, and hosted by Positive Fabulous Women.
“The event will bring together heart-centered women entrepreneurs who are ready to up their game,” says Shannon Skinner, host and creator, Extraordinary Women TV with Shannon Skinner. “These are women who are inspired about learning, collaborating and supporting one another, which is so important for women entrepreneurs to succeed, and I am honoured to be a part of facilitating that.”
The all-day event features high-profile speakers including: Rona Maynard, award-winning journalist, author and former editor, Chatelaine magazine; Pat Mussieux, coach, acclaimed international speaker and author; and Katia Millar, founder, Positive Fabulous Women, the Toronto-based organization that is hosting the event.
A highlight of the event is a panel discussion on the topic of money, led by experts/coaches Carolyn Ellis and Jennifer Longmore. The closing ceremony will be conducted by speaker/coach, Liliane DeVries. Master of ceremonies is Sandra Leigh, facilitator/consultant/coach.
Entertainment includes laughter yoga and belly dancing, and there will be opportunity for women to network.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to support METRAC’s May Be Me annual campaign to raise awareness and funds to prevent violence against diverse women and youth.
The Ignite ‘n’ Connect event, which is expected to draw hundreds of participants, will be held at St. Paul’s Bloor Street Church (227 Bloor Street East) in Toronto. Registration begins at 9:00 am.
